I did this clockwise, and though either direction has fun downhills and steep hike-a-bikes, that direction seems to make the most sense.

This route is mainly a motorized trail, so expect rutted, loose trail from time to time. After passing under the I-70 underpass, an informative sign with a map will be reached. Head up the road to the right for 0.25 miles and look for the obvious signed ZC Trail on the left.

Follow the singletrack for five miles, meandering up and down, in and out of some washes, with some technical hills, to finally reach the rim and a fantastic overlook. The next 5-7 miles will mostly be on the rim itself and the views do not disappoint. Around mile 8-9, you'll drop down into Rabbit Valley and intersect with the Kokopelli Trail around mile 10-11. Koko heads left here (well marked), ZC heads right on unmarked dirt road.

Follow the road for a few miles and look for a dirt road exit on your right as the main road continues left. Follow the road back to the sign and underpass. Another option is to bypass the road on the right and continue left for another half mile and then find a really nice singletrack on the right that is unmarked except for a carbonite post, which parallels I-70 and leads across flatlands back to the underpass. Personally the second option was quite good.
