Opens to skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.

Need to Know

The campground is a pay-only area, but you can park just outside of the campground and ride in. Additionally, the campground will close in autumn, but you can still ride your bike into the trail as long as weather permits. During the colder months, this becomes a nordic trail that is open to skiing and snowshoeing.

Description

This trail begins at the Silver Campground and ends at the outflow area near the start of the trail. While it can be travelled in the opposite direction, beginning at the Silver Campground sets you up for a fast and prolonged descent near the middle of the ride, while the ascent near the end is a bit more spaced out, and thus, this direction will give you an optimal experience. The trail is multi-use, so be on the lookout for hikers and horseback riders.
