Overview
Four plus miles made up of two loops about two miles each. These loops are comprised of hand cut singletrack and considered intermediate skill level. There is about 40 feet of elevation change throughout the trail system, which you traverse up and down many times.
Need to Know
Fuel and food at Lake Gaston two miles up Eaton Ferry Road. Best restaurant in the area is Robinson Ferry in town of Warrenton.
Description
Park at the Buck Spring Plantation Park lot then ride between the picnic area and playground following the tree line to the back corner of the field - that’s where the trail begins.
Ride the
Graveyard Loop about 0.2 miles and come out to a dirt road. Go left to stay on the
Graveyard Loop and it’ll take you back to the field - about two miles total - or cross the dirt road to the
Rockpile Loop - stay right.
About one mile in, you’ll end up back on the dirt road. Immediately go left and re-enter the woods for the return trail. In another mile, you’ll exit Rockpile where you started.
Cross the road, stay right and pick up the
Graveyard Loop trail where you left off.
If you’re looking for a break from all the woods trail the dirt road makes a nice trek down to the lake.
