Overview

Acker Park - Goldwater Lakes Loop is a fantastic loop from town. It takes you to some of the best trails Prescott has to offer. This is a local favorite.

Need to Know

Acker Park has restrooms.

Description

Acker Park is a great place to start and end but this loop can start anywhere downtown Prescott.

To get to Acker Park, head south from Gurley on Virginia street. Acker Park parking lot is on your left before the cemetery.

Ride across the bridge up Hilltop Trail to Ridge Trail. Hit Autumn Breeze Road (paved) on through the neighborhood and out Nathan Ln to Senator Hwy. Go left uphill for about 0.25 miles. As the hill starts to top out, look for Old Senator Road (dirt road). Stay on Old Senator Road for a little less than a mile making a left onto South Old Senator Road. Follow this around until you intersect Feldmeier Trail #330.

Heading left up Feldmeier Trail #330, there's a bit more climbing now on singletrack. Intersecting Goldwater Lakes Trail #396, go right and follow it all the way. Taking Twist & Shout Trail #372 to your right routes you around the White Spar Campground staying right onto Apple Blossom Trail #373 staying left to Banning Creek where you'll go past a gate onto a paved road called Couger Trail Road. Take that down to Coyote Road where you turn right down to Valley Ranch Road taking another right up a steep hill until you top out on Haisley Rd.

Go right again following all the way down crossing Senator Hwy. Turn right on Grand Valley. Look for Acker Park on your right and jump onto singletrack Tom's Trail. Go left on the Loop Connector Trail. Left on Powerline Trail, keeping sharp right to stay on Powerline Trail back to parking lot at Acker Park.

At the bottom of Hidden Valley Trail #374, go left on Apple Blossom Trail #373 out to White Spar Road and back to town.

The trail was great! Lots of fun. On the Old Senator Road there were lots of "Private Road" and "No trespassing" signs but nobody said anything. 13.4mi — 2h 04m
