Description

Starting from just below where Ann's Trail tunnels under the Traverse Ridge Road, the Little Valley Loop Trail picks up at a three-way intersection. An initial eroded descent soon improves into smoother trail surface. A map and informational board marks a complicated but well-signed trail hub/junction on the right. Continue straight to stay on the Little Valley Loop Trail.

After a flat east-west section, the trail climbs gently and switchbacks uphill. Pass below a rock outcrop and then a neighborhood access spur trail. The top of this same rock outcrop forms a nice viewpoint over Little Valley and Draper beyond. Contour up the gentle hillside through scrub oak before ending at a junction with Ann's Trail.
