Snowed in half the year. Probably overgrown with brush.

Remote. Real remote.

Description

I'm mostly posting this as a warning. I encountered this section of trail on a long bikepacking trip in August 2018, and it was absolutely brutal. Too steep to ride up for most of the trail, and super overgrown. It eventually mellowed out into decent trail near the top, but the lower two-thirds was pretty abysmal. I spent four hours pushing my bike through dense brush to get to the top of this trail. If it's been cleared of brush recently, it would make a decent downhill, but I'd honestly recommend just avoiding it altogether and take the much better Horse Heaven Trail instead.

shortly after this the trail drops straight off the ridge to the bottom of the mountains. Steep!

The brush was like this for the length of the trail making it virtually impassible. Would not recommend unless de brushed.
