Overview
The best way to do this ride is through Alan's Bike Shop in Taipei because there are NO signs and some trail entrances and exits are beside homes and farms. Highly recommend these ride if in Taiwan!
The trails are shared with dirt bikes, so some of the downhills are fall line and rutted. Fast and aggressive would be a good description of the trails. Fun, too!

Description
So close to Taipei, yet you really feel way out in the jungle! This is really a series of loops that Alan and Yen have put together from scouting, gaining permissions from property owners, and relationships. Contact them
here and you can catch a shuttle with them out to the trails and get a guided tour!
Each loop has a bit of a climb but has great payoffs with fun downhills. The left, westernmost loop has a full jump line with built ramps. The middle loop is the most remote and has a more backcountry feel with some aggressive downhill sections shared with dirt bikers. The right, easternmost loop also has some aggressive, rutted downhill sections.
The trails are relatively smooth with little to no rock. The biggest challenge is sometimes the trail pitches straight down the fall line at some steep pitches! It is all 100% rideable though and beautiful.
