Need to Know

There are no real parking areas in the Offset, TN community area so it is probably best to park on the side of the Forest Service road. Also, it's advised to wear blaze orange clothing during hunting season.

Description

This is a non-technical ride on a Forest Service road (NFSR) that is open to vehicles (although there is little actual vehicle traffic). It is a good workout and very beautiful as it winds through the forest climbing Holston Mountain. The Appalachian Trail crosses the road at the summit, McQueen Gap.
