Overview
Technical Difficulty Rating: Easy
Strenuous Difficulty Rating: Easy
This is an easy loop with a mixture of creek crossings, smooth and wide singletrack, a taste of rocky terrain, some gravel roads, and a little doubletrack. This route is fun to ride in either direction. The Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition continues to build singletrack trails in an effort to transform this Green
Pond Loop into a full singletrack option.
Description
Leave the parking lot in the northeast corner past the kiosk and turn left onto VA '54. The trail starts with a big easy creek crossing and uphill.
At the first intersection, turn left onto Boundary. Continue uphill, keeping left at the intersections where you'll spit out of the woods a couple times, and finally end up at the pond.
Be sure to ride up to the pond to chill for a moment. Head back down to the entrance of MBA Meadow where you'll descend some straight and smooth wide singletrack. Keep heading downhill as the trail turns to gravel doubletrack to the pavilion and parking lot.
