Description

This is a rowdy 4-by-4 road starting from the Montezuma Grade Road (S22), running down to Grapevine Canyon Road. There are a couple of short ascents that will wake you up and some really long descents. The road can be sandy with loose rocks at times, but the descent is long and fun.

There are some great rock formations along the length of the the trail and the Pinyon Ridge that lies to your west. Maybe this is where the mountain lions mentioned on the sign at the start of the trail hang out?

This makes for a fun shuttle ride with Grapevine Canyon down to the Tamarisk Campground if you can arrange it.
