Overview
The great thing about this trail is it is rideable year-round. Most of the remaining MTB trails on the island are unrideable during the rainy season due to the abundance of red dirt/clay surface that turns to thick, rust-colored mud that clogs up the rear triangles on your frame preventing the tires from clearing. There is a beautiful photo viewpoint of the eastern coastal area - perfect to take selfies and to take a breather.
Need to Know
Currently, only members of the Guam Cycling Federation, Guam Motorcross Association, and Guam Racing Federation are allowed on the trails. An annual membership for the Guam Cycling Federation is $60 and can be done online at guamcycling.com. Hours of operation are 8am - 530pm, Tues/Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun.
Description
The trail starts out on part of the off-road track. It is shared with an ATV tour vendor that is a tenant at the raceway. As such, bikers have to follow the trail in the same direction that the ATV tours go - counter clockwise.
After the first climb, then there is a fast descent with a couple of nice bumps to get some air. Then you take a side doubletrack trail that takes you onto the jungle-covered jeep trail. It's rocky, but not technical, and includes a couple of nice rollers. There is one short punchy climb after which you have a choice of an A-line (for riders with a bit more bike handling skills), and the B-line (easier but takes a longer route) that drops into a nice quarry.
Some nice singletrack follow and then you loop back to the start.
History & Background
All the doubletrack on this trail is a shared with an ATV tour operator. The singletrack is only for bikes. The whole park is primarily for motorized sports (moto-x, off-road races) and there is a go-kart track and quarter-mile drag strip on the west side of the park. Plenty of parking.
