Description
Ralson Creek Trail heads northwest from
Clear Creek Trail at Sheridan Blvd through the neighborhoods of Arvada. It passes within a few blocks of Old Town Arvada, providing easy access to shops and restaurants there. Farther west, it passes through parks and near several shopping areas in the suburbs of Arvada.
In its western reaches, it gains a more rural character as it passes through open spaces and some golf course oriented developments. Up to this point it has been flat, but at Tucker Lake and Blunn Reservoir it makes a steep climb onto the bluff, giving spectacular views south over the reservoir of North Table Mountain, Golden, and the Front Range. At CO-93, it begins a switchback descent to the reservoir, the climbs out heading south until it ends at 64th Ave.
Here you can continue south on the gravel
Fairmount Trail through Long Lake Regional Park and to North Table Mountain and ultimately (using 1 mile of Easley Road) connect to
Clear Creek Trail. Or you can head back east on the 64th Ave bike lanes.
