Fire danger closes most tracks in southern France during late summer months. It's probably too hot to ride then, anyway.
Don't try to ride this trail in a rainstorm! This is the channel the water will run off through.
Need to Know
Mediterranean scrub is stiff and prickly. It encroaches on the narrow trail, so protective clothing is helpful.
While technically you could ride up this trail, you wouldn't have much fun, and you might get hit by a fast descender, since sight lines are short.
Description
Starting at a fire road crossroads, this trail doesn't look narrow at all at the top. But it quickly squeezes down as it follows a narrowing ravine down toward the village of Boulbon.
At first, the trail runs through dense garrigue scrub and forest on packed dirt. Eventually, the dirt gives way to limestone ledges in a steep, water-polished drainage. This section is very technical and challenging, though you aren't actually required to leave the ground.
The trail ends at the foot of the ruined Boulbon castle.
