Family Friendly Easy wide paths. There is a paved asphalt trail which slopes to a boardwalk that makes a loop over the wetlands with signs explaining the types of trees one will see on the trail.

Need to Know

A good sized dirt parking lot for 15-20 cars. No restroom facilities are available at the trailhead.

Description

The trail was exactly what I was looking for: a relaxing ride with a few hills to get me out of breath. The trail was in good condition with lots of blazes to keep you on track. Seems to be moderately trafficked based on the trail conditions which maintain it well and makes it easy to follow.

You'll pass by a brook that continues around the park and near the end of the Red Trail, and you'll also pass power lines. I enjoyed this trail, and while it is an out and back, you can easily make it a loop by taking the Purple and White Trail. Racebrook Tract has 4 blazed trails and I enjoyed it so much I decided to go around again and ventured onto some of the smaller connecting trails.

Permitted activities include hiking, cross country skiing, and bicycling.
