Large sections of this road run directly in the Taylor Canyon wash, so deep sand and runoff water can make it impassible. During episodes of very high water on the Green River, you may not be able to access Taylor Canyon from either direction of the White Rim Trail.

Need to Know

This is a bit of a Goldilocks Trail. When in condition, it is a scenic add-on to a White Rim Trail trip. But the road can be under water after rain storms, or deep with sand if it hasn't rained recently.

The road is mostly used by climbers to access Moses and Zeus Towers, which are striking formations.

Description

Enter Taylor Canyon at a fork on the White Rim Trail near the Labyrinth campground, and follow the dirt road as far as a campground about 5 miles away. Return the same way.
