”
Family Friendly
Easy trail with a scenic bridge over Center Creek.
The south access on may be blocked by construction.
Need to Know
A gravel parking lot is located at the north end of the trail on Allen Street. The south end of the trail can be accessed with street parking at the end of Copper Oaks Drive.
Although it's a relatively short trail, the bridge over Center Creek makes it worth visiting.
Description
Thoms Station is a short linear trail converted from a former rail line. It has very little grade and passes through a mix of open space, woods, and residential areas. Near the midpoint of the trail is an impressively restored railroad bridge that crosses Center Creek, allegedly one of the longest bicycle bridges in Missouri. The segment from the parking lot on Allen Street to Center Creek is packed gravel and the segment south into Briarbrook is paved.
