Richardson Greenway is a rail-to-trail conversion that runs along N. Main St (NC-115) north from Fraizer Loop in Barium Springs south to Rumple Street in Troutman. The northern portion of the trail passes by the historic site, Barium Springs Home for Children. The southern portion runs through the heart of Troutman and passes by Town Hall, Troutman Elementary and Middle Schools, and a mix of other offices, civic building, residences, and commercial properties.The southern end of the trail ends at the Troutman Depot, which is home to the Farmers Market on Saturdays throughout the summer.

Parking for the Troutman end of Richardson Greenway is available in the parking lot next to the Farmer's Market Shelter. Parking for the Barium Springs end of Richardson Greenway is available at the Barium Springs Post Office (2625 Shelton Ave, Barium Springs, NC 28010).
