Family Friendly
Has tons of tables and a massive splash pad for the kids and a large covered playground next to the trail parking lot. Grills available also. Great place to go for the day with the family and go ride.
Some days the park has a small fee of $1.50.
One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.
Overview
This is a great place to ride in Deerfield Beach with easy access from the Florida Turnpike or I95 and the Sawgrass Expressway. This place has a beautiful layout that lets you take the simple, less technical route but lets you also mix in the advanced section to make the full experience pop.
As you enter the trail system, you start off on a warmup trail that leads into a small track that has some logs and banked wall along with some poles set up to slalom. You can spend a bunch of laps just having fun here separate from the trails to practice trials skills and balance on a skinny raised path.
Then you can enter the trailhead and take on the full trail from that point. Follow the signs and have fun. Lots on coral rocks that are super sharp so ride safe and bring patches in case you go off the trail and find a thorn or stickers.
Need to Know
They have a great bike wash section and small bike hangers at each. They also have a work station with some tools attached to the pole if you don't have some or for emergencies. Great bathrooms, super clean and a vending machine with sodas and waters.
Description
This loop connects singletrack trails that are kept up by volunteers and the park service. The loop is a good beginners trail with advanced sections mixed into it but you don't have to take them you don't feel comfortable and can still have an enjoyable ride.
There are lots of coral rock sections that can be tricky if loose, some drops on the advanced parts but nothing crazy. Not much shade and a ton of roots make it a typical South Florida ride.
Overall, this is a good eight-mile loop with the
Warmup Trail and
Cool Down Trail. The back sections have some cool raised boardwalk type sections. The beginning has a small obstacle course/race track with a banked wall section. Everything said, it's a great trail system with some tech mixed in if you want.
