Description
The trail starts at the parking lot on
Baird Creek Road. The trail starts off relatively flat and crosses a paved path multiple times. The trail turns uphill with a large climb with many logs that must be to prevent erosion. After this, the trail has many split-offs and it can be easy to get off the suggested route. If you would like to skip this area, just take the paved path.
Next, you'll get to the next section of singletrack which follows the course of
Baird Creek. This trail brings you out to Danz Ave. Where you'll keep left across the bridge and turn left again to get back on singletrack. Continue along the trail as you pass through an open field for power lines. This section has plenty of rocks and roots to keep things interesting. The trail will then cross over a small creek twice with two small bridges.
The next section of trail is flat and follows along
Baird Creek. After this, a switchback climb gets you to the fun stuff. A gradual downhill section that borders railroad tracks is followed by another flat section with a skinny bridge to cross a small creek and two log piles. Next, a climb brings you along a cliff overlooking
Baird Creek and the parking lot. Another downhill along railroad tracks brings you to another small climb. After the climb, you'll have to cross the railroad tracks to get to a small downhill and back out onto the road.
