Description

This trail starts off of Mountain Island Park Trail about 3/4 miles from the parking lot at the base of the Mountain Island Lake dam. Almost immediately after entering the forest, the trail intersects with the Green Loop and continues as the left option. The trail then climbs for about 1/3 of a mile through a series of bermed switchback turns.

Once you get to the top you are rewarded with a speedy downhill section that weaves through the trees with a few rollers and catch berms on the way down. The trail then climbs back up slightly to a section with some really well-made ladder bridges and concludes back near the start of the trail on Mountain Island Park Trail at the one mile mark.

Lots of rocks and roots. Some sections of trail washed away. There are some jumps but the landings arent great. 0.7mi — 0h 15m
