Description
From the start, at the paved path, you'll start climbing. At the first fork stay to the right. You'll then climb a steep bermed trail. It will flatten out a little and you'll continue climbing through some rock gardens. The next fork is where the inner and outer loops split.
The outer loop will be the fork to the right. This section is a little longer but has the longer downhill section of the two loops. You'll climb a little further from the fork and the trail will curl down and left. From that point hold on tight, you're about to go on a "mini Pisgah" roller coaster ride through lots of boulder gardens sprinkled all throughout the singletrack. At the bottom, you'll merge back to the main trail. From there you can stay straight back out to the paved path OR take a 160-degree left-hand turn and climb back to the fork and now do the
Advanced Trail: Inner Loop.
The
Advanced Trail: Inner Loop will be the fork to the left. From the fork, you'll climb through some small rock gardens and again, the trail curls left and head downhill. The
Advanced Trail: Inner Loop is a bit shorter than the outer, but the features are very similar. Lots of large boulders and rock gardens to smash your way through. This trail also merges back to the main trail and heads back out to the paved path. Again, you can choose to stay straight to the pavement, or 160-degree left and keep sessioning these loops!
FYI these loops are awesome. If you want Pisgah gnar without the drive, these loops will keep you grinning one mile at a time!
