Need to Know

Restrooms available at the start of the trail in Deer Canyon Preserve.

Description

This is best ridden northbound from the restrooms in Deer Canyon Preserve. The fire road begins to the right of the restrooms and climbs to the power lines at the summit. There are no features but has some steep sections which will get the heart pumping. The descent is fast and steeper than the ascent as it approaches Santa Ana Canyon.

Maybe 0.1 miles up from the restrooms, the East Hills Trail breaks off the right side of the road and climbs up and over the canyon.
