Description

Recommend parking at the business just down the hill. Exit parking lot to left, small climb up to trailhead.

- Obstacles:
* Bridges with step-ups/downs
* Bridges without rails
* Downhill/uphill roots
* Some small steps

This trail has some long, flat straights broken up by bridges. Some bridges have an immediate drop with a small flow onto flat singletrack. A couple bridges with step-ups.This is called the "Tow Road" and runs next to a couple 100-year-old trees grown over the canal and the Fore River Stream.

Then you move into an uphill climb over roots into a downhill. There is a tricky switchback at the bottom with a small drop-in over root directly onto a bridge (with rail) that also cuts back slightly. Cross the bridge into another uphill, then downhill over a long bridge (no rail). Small rooty climb to train tracks.

Cross the tracks to a steep uphill (lots of people walk this), then a downhill to the the base of Jewell Falls, alternating between clean path to root path. Just before the falls is a nice, curvy, fairly tight downhill.

Jewell Falls has a bike track up to the left. Cross the low bridge and there is a quick root uphill section that opens to a smooth steep uphill climb. You can walk the climb or bike carry up the steps for a fast steps workout.

If you continue past the falls, you come out at Nason's Corner and a variety store. Many people turn around at the falls and reverse the track.
