Description

This is a section of the Summit County paved paths that wind through the Frisco Peninsula Recreation Area (PRA).

The trail begins at the Dillon Marina and winds along, between Highway 9 and the wetlands adjacent to the reservoir, until you reach the PRA. Once there you'll see all kinds of opportunities for having fun:

- flow and jump lines for MTB
- skate park
- ball fields

Past the PRA parking lots, the path ascends alongside the road, once you're through the switchbacks there is a bench and a place to take in the views. Here you'll see the re-located Dickey Day lot, where you can park to ride any of the Frisco Peninsula trails that start from this location.

After crossing the Peninsula Road and ascending a small hill, you'll see an intersection. Take the left to go toward Breckenridge, and go straight if you want to head toward the hospital.

The section of this trail to the east of the PRA parking lots is groomed for XC skiing, walking, and fat biking in the winter. Riding on the path is free of charge, however if you want to access the newly created "phat loop," you'll need to purchase a pass at the nordic center.
