Overview

Connect multiple Forest Service Roads into a loop that makes for a beautiful and challenging ride. Can be ridden on various bikes but wider tires, lower pressure, and some nobs/tread are recommended.

Need to Know

Parking is roadside only and there are no facilities onsite.

Description

Start your ride at the cattle guard parking spot. Head west for the first of several climbs. Approximately 3.5 miles in, you'll come to a three-way intersection. Hang right for another two miles. Follow Gladstone NF Road #11 back through your tracks to the three-way intersection.

This time, head to the right to follow Old Brushy Mountain Rd/Blakely Cutoff NF Road #788. Your next left will be onto Lofty Rd/Buffalo Gap NF Road #122 for the climb you've been looking for or dreading.

After your quick breather, make another right back onto Gladstone NF Road #11 and head on back to the cattle guard.
