Need to Know
Park at the Legion just off the highway as there is no parking at the start of the trail. Signs all around town will direct you there. There is a pump track up near the trail start that you'll ride by on your right-hand side that you can start with as a little warm-up.
Description
This one starts with a tough climb to the first trail crossing. Stop and catch your breath here if needed or keep going as it flattens out for a bit. You'll come across another two trail crossings, just continue "straight" and begin climbing again, as it gets real tough with some tight switchbacks and some techy sections. It's all rideable, just have to give it some juice.
Once at the top, you'll be rewarded with a fast downhill with some switchbacks, techy trail, and some up and down. At the wood drop, it is also set up for it to be rolled. After this, expect another fast, flowy section to the old wooden skinnies; these look sketchy but they're still in good shape. Once past the skinnies, you cross the trail going up, continue straight through and you'll come to another challenging climb with some techy sections near the top.
Once at the top of this climb, you get rewarded with some techy rock riding that leads into a pretty big wood-ladder drop. You can roll the rock face to the left of the drop or go further left to a techy down or further left to an easy ride-around. If you really want the challenge, look to the right of the drop past the trees to a drop that is super sketch. After this section, you get a wooden wall ride, some additional skinnies, and then another climb.
At the top of this climb, the downhill can be fast but is technical. You'll then pass back over the first trail crossing and continue into the fun zone; this super fast and flowy section leads into some techy stuff with one last climb to get you to the top of the rock faces. There are too many optional lines to count on the rock faces so wander around and have a look. After the rock faces, heading to the finish is rocky and techy with tight switchback. The trail is finally finished off with a drop to end the ride.
All features have ride-arounds or walk-arounds.
