Description

Blackwater View Trail is accessed immediately from the Beall Parking Lot, leaving through the iron gate. Trail Information available at either kiosk, but specifically at the HOH kiosk located just past the Iron Gate. Trail is a mix of gravel access road, then doubletrack, a section of singletrack with a long board walk, more doubletrack, a bridge across the blackwater river, and then another long doubletrack climb that takes you towards the A-Frame Road side of the valley.

Trail crosses through a private easement, procured by Heart of the Highlands Trail System in conjunction with the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Good views and great wildlife viewing. Please respect trails that are not open to bicycle use.
