Very flowy, few obstacles, GREAT pump track.
Need to Know
If you're staying at Bolding Mill Campground this is a great resource!
Description
The start of the trail is a little confusing. If you're looking at the pump track, the entrance is to the right on the edge of the trees, part of a smaller track.
Following the route this way is the direction the NICA race course goes, but there are no directional signs other than the race arrows left behind so I think it can be ridden either way.
Overall, it's not a remarkable trail, but it's really quiet with some descent scenery. There are some good fast descents and aside from some roots in a couple short sections, largely non-technical.
Look out for a few slightly confusing parts: when you come out of the woods the first time, you'll cross a short rock garden. Bear right after that. After some time, you'll come out on a powerline cut. There's a dirt road there you can ride uphill to the left, though it looks like the trail designers have cut some switchbacks in the grass, so pick your poison.
After you bomb down to the front of the park, take a sharp left and climb up the gravel road. You'll re-enter the trail on the right at the top of the hill, then after a fast downhill you come back out in some grass. Look just to the left and cross another (different) rock garden and re-enter the trail.
The last confusing part is a four-way intersection at a drainage pond. Go around the lake whatever way you want, just make sure you don't go the way you just came from when you come back around the pond to where you started. Also, this park has a fantastic pump track! My favorite of all the ones in Atlanta right now.
