Description

This trail originates at the Heights Hike and Bike Trail at Studemont and follows the south/west bank of the bayou until West 11th Street, where a dedicated bridge crosses over to the north/east bank. The trail continues upstream to Watonga where it crosses back over to the south/west bank.

This is one of the most significant trails in the Houston area, currently offering about 15 continuous miles with only four grade crossings of city streets.

[Future extensions, both upstream and downstream to Buffalo Bayou, are planned and will be added to this trail as completed. Description is for currently completed full segment.]
