Hiking trails.
Trail is only open during park hours and when trail status is set to OPEN at the main trail gate at the stone wall.
Need to Know
There are public restrooms open during the spring, summer, and fall as well as a portable toilet for off-season use. The trailhead is accessed by riding through the paths mowed through the tall grass to the north of the upper parking lot.
Description
As of April 10th, 2020, there is not signage on this loop. This is a brand new section, so the more wheels that roll this, the better it will get.
Enter the trail system at the main trail gate at the stone wall, then take the first left turn. The Indigo Loop touches the
Emerald Loop at two points early on and the different trails are not yet labeled at the intersections. This is an out-and-back loop.
To ride the loop clockwise, take a left at the y intersection. To ride counterclockwise, take a right. There are ravine crossings throughout and some rocky terrain at the bluffs at the north edge of the property. As a side note, these same bluffs make up the northern portion of the
Emerald Loop.
