No known closures, but the entrance gate has had opens and closures over the years due to abuse from ATVs. So currently it has chains but a pass through for people.
Current Update as of June 27th 2021: There has been some complaining from Beaver Mountain Estates of people parking on the old dirt road here that leads to the trail entrance, which you can't do. Also the neighborhood road doesn't allow parking on it. So this entrance is in a bit of a limbo, I would park on the frontage road.
Need to Know
This is a burn area and there is still standing dead so as with all areas of this type please be careful of falling trees especially on windy days.
Description
So at the top of the neighborhood you'll see an old dirt road that heads to a gate into the open wilderness. The first part of the trail is almost non existent so make sure you have this app installed and offlined. You meander across the meadow towards the base of Beaver Mountain, there is a single creek crossing on your way up. Keep an eye out for deer and elk, there are many her, and mountain lions have been seen here as well.
Once you get across the meadow you'll hit the very well established beaver mountain trail. This is an atv doubletrack that goes through the old burn area where a bunch of new aspen growth is coming up. It turns and goes uphill for the hardest climb, it is doable but it hurts. Good thing is it's short and then you're in a nice high alpine meadow with epic views. You'll start downhill at this point. A quarter mile across you'll hit the split where the trail goes right down church creek trail which is a pretty chewed up atv track. Stay left and head into the singletrack between the aspens. Now is truly the time to rip. Loamy ripper dirt all the way down and you'll have quite the smile on your face by the finish. There is one gate you'll need to open and close and one creek crossing. There are a few downed trees but trees have been stacked to allow you to ride over them for extra fun.
At the end you can ride the road back and make a loop out of it, but if you had someone drop you off at the top it'd be more fun and less work.
