Overview

About 45-60 minutes in total. This route starts with a climb up Wildwood Canyon Trail as a warm-up. It then goes up through the Highland Shortcut and down one half of the Highland Loop, repeat going up the shortcut and down the other half of the Highland Loop. Then the fire road can be taken back up to Wildwood Canyon Trail and back to the parking lot.

Need to Know

It starts at the end of a residential street and there is some open area for parking, but not much room.

Description

This is a little route that encompasses basically all of the good parts of Wildwood Canyon Open Space. Since there is a shortcut trail, it makes climbing fairly quick and isn't too difficult.

The trails are not used too much so coming down tends to have plants smacking your legs, arms, and face, but it's still a fun, quick ride.
