Need to Know

The main Baileys Trails access is from the Chauncey Park Trailhead. Access to the trails in the park is via wooden bridge across a small stream on the eastside of the park. To get to the park, take a left turn (westbound) off of Ohio State Route 13 onto West Bailey Rd, then a left turn onto the driveway about 100 yards up the road.

From the trailhead follow Chauncey Depot Trail to the left to Gop Pile Loop.

Description

The Gob Pile Loop is a beginner natural surface trail named for the piles of gob, a legacy of coal mining, that you can see along the trail. Gob Pile Loop climbs gently and circumnavigates a small hill above the park. The trail also functions as a connector between the Chauncey Depot Trail, the singletrack Coal Train Trail, and the rest of the Baileys Trails System.

The Baileys Trail System is composed of purpose-built mountain bike trails that can also accommodate other human-powered uses such as hiking, backpacking, and trail running.
