Overview
The route highlights Eastwoods' best MTB trails, with many rock gardens, surprisingly technical bits for the CT coast, and memorable views of streams, the East River, wildflower fields, and Cindy Pond.
Need to Know
There is room for 4-5 cars at the trailhead but many other entrances to the area. It can be busy with walkers during the summer, especially down by Goss Fields so be alert. During the winter, hunting is permitted in certain areas so wear bright colors and stick to the trails for your own safety.
Description
Route takes you through the rolling terrain of upper Eastwoods across some technical rock gardens, then descends towards Goss Fields with some flowy and techy trails. The Goss Fields have some great views over the East River and are a nice smooth ride.
The route then climbs out of the fields and into another fast and techy descent towards the power lines. The route then follows under the power lines, an easy way to climb back up to the top of Eastwoods.
History & Background
The land was donated by the Goss family to the town of Guilford and the Guilford Land Trust.
