Need to Know

The trails are open 24/7, provided you have a valid permit. The trailhead is open from 0600 till 15:30 and you can use the honesty box when the trailhead is closed. Best coffee in town every single day and great breakfasts during the weekend.

Description

The Red Route starts flat and fast but after two kilometers you go into the the gumtree forest. 2km of twists, turns and jumps will get you warmed up.

After 10km of gradual climbing, you reach the highest point. For the next 4km you find exciting singletrack sections start. Expect jumps, wooden features, berms and some rocks.

After some more climbing, you reach the 19k mark and are going down again and the singletrack follows the river contours for the next 6km. This is one of the most scenic parts of the area.

After that, it is an easy ride on country roads back to the trailhead.
