One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.
Description
Jackrabbit trail is a fun addition to the
Anasazi Loop area. This trail addition was brought to you by the Farmington Bureau of Land Management and San Juan County's collaboration with a Recreation Trails Program (RTP) grant.
The trail is fast with two small uphill sections to make it to another short downhill sections. This trail is littered with features ranging from small berms, a wooden bridge, and a few table tops. There are bypasses for every big feature on the trail. It is fun for everyone in the family and every bodies skill levels.
The trail starts by the gate on Hood Mesa. After a few little jumps, the trail will have a few berms followed by a 20-foot wooden bridge. You'll go through a few more berms followed by a small uphill section. Now you are at the top feature area with the choice of two lines: one is to wind through a left and two right berms or shoot it straight for a small table top.
The two options connect to send you to two larger table tops followed by a lower berm. This is the end of the feature section with plenty of winding trail littered with more berms ahead of you. You'll come to the last uphill section followed by a small rock drop before you cross a road to the last part of the trail. It will end at the uphill part of
Anasazi Loop or you can ride straight into
Snake Trail, another RTP-produced trail. The trail is very soft and sandy off of the main tread.
