Overview

This ride stitches together a ride of choice trails in the Bentonville Slaughter Pen system as well as the northern adjacent Blowing Springs Park trails in nearby Bella Vista. Bring your legs!

Description

If it's your first time doing this ride, it's suggested you get the MTB Project mobile app on your mobile phone (or load this ride to your bike computer), and follow the route as you go.

The route starts at the top of Ozone which begins at the corner of Northhaven Dr and NW A Street. It parallels the street on a hand-built tac flow trail that runs alongside NW A Street before popping down into some great flowy singletrack.

Ozone will connect with Tiger Trail after crossing Tiger Blvd. Take Tiger Trail for a sec and pop onto Rim Trail.

On Rim Trail you'll pass by the tail end of Cry Baby..but keep ascending slightly until you get to the other end and take Cry Baby up and around Patti Cake.

After Patti Cake you'll hook into the Boo Boo and Choo Choo downhill flow lines. There's a trail up the middle of these two that takes you to a small hub at the top where you can descend either of the two flow lines. It's a short pedal up...and most folks like to loop back up and do them both multiple times...tons of fun!

When you are done on Boo Boo and Choo Choo, grab the The Rocking Horse exit and jump onto Razorback Greenway and start heading north.

As you pass the water treatment plant at mile 2.75, cross the road and do the blue/black loop of 2 Stacks, Schroen Train, Rocky Ridge, and Free Time...back to the 2 Stacks start.

Cross back over to the Razorback Greenway and connect to the The Urban Trail. Take The Urban Trail to Seed Tick Shuffle then to Armadillo's Last Stand to Medusa. At the end of Medusa is a fun downhill section. Medusa ends by connecting back further up the Razorback Greenway.

Take the Razorback Greenway north towards Bella Vista to the Bella Vista Spur trail. From there, grab the Cooper Connector into the Blowing Springs Park trail system.

Follow the route around the Blowing Springs trail system loop and then return back towards Bentonville following the Cooper Connector to Bella Vista Spur back and Razorback Greenway.

Follow the Razorback Greenway to Angus Chute and then finally back to the top of Ozone where you started.

You'll want tons of speed to hit the step up to finish off the Mad Hatter run. I like to hit the drop as fast as possible, without popping, then 2-3 hard pedal strokes into the step up, and launch.
