Need to Know

Gore Pass Bike Trailhead features a few parking spots and men's/women's separate restrooms.

Description

This trail is known as Morrison Divide Trail #1174, and also by the name "Muddy Slide Loop" on the Gore Pass Bike Trails map at the trailhead.

Start at the Gore Pass Bike Trailhead, and head uphill for a half mile to the trail gate on the left. The climbing starts right out of the gate.

There are a few scattered downhills and flat sections, but the trail heads mostly uphill all the way to the Muddy Slide at mile 8.

After viewing Muddy Slide, get ready for the rowdy DH section that leads all the way to the trailhead at FSR270. The pine forests and aspen groves are certainly very nice, but the DH section is the highlight of this ride.

Trail in excellent condition. Rained the night before, so we were treated with some hero dirt! The final DH after Muddy Slide is a blast! 20mi — 2h 27m
