This is a doubletrack way to get to the top of Kate's Mountain. There is nothing technical about any part of the ride other than a couple creek crossings near the beginning. The grade varies from very slight descent to fairly steep and is a cardio challenge to all but the fittest rider.

Towards the top, there has been recent logging. This allows the rider views of the valleys below. There are sections of the trail that can get muddy and boggy if there has been a lot of recent rain.

If you turn right on Kate's Mountain Road, you'll see a nice overlook on your right before getting to Rocky Ridge Trail. It is marked with blue blazes.
