Need to Know

Trail is surrounded by fencelines and private property. Stay on the trail and between the fences.

Description

Great trail for kids or beginners or anyone not wanting to negotiate very many rocks, drops, logs, or other obstacles... this trail starts at the pedestrian path next to NM 4 between Piedra Loop and Monte Rey Dr North. It drops down to Piedra Dr where you cross the road and continue next to the road toward the horse corral.

Switchback hard right and take the trail up to Monte Rey Dr N. Go left onto the road and ride it down to Rio Bravo where you 'll take another left. Singletrack resumes on the left side just a bit down the road.

The singletrack goes almost perfectly straight then reaches a T intersection. Take a right and keep to the right to end up at La Bajada Way. Ride down the road to the left and resume off-road riding at the end of the cul-du-sac.

Bear left to come back out at the Red Dot trailhead on Piedra Loop. Take a right to head back to White Rock or to connect to the Canyon Rim Trail at Sherwood.
