Be mindful of the amount of cattle waste/parasites in the water at the numerous water crossings. Either filter/Iodine this water before drinking or abstain from using this water altogether.
Description
This trail is a gravel/dirt forest roader grinder to make the Middlefork a loop.
Starting from the end of the Middlefork:
Take a right (west) on Hwy J. for 0.8 miles
Turn right (north) on CR 836 for 2 miles
Turn right (east) on CR69 for 2.4 miles
Bear left on CR69 for 0.6 miles
Stay straight (north) for 0.6 miles
Turn right (east) on CR70 for 0.6 miles
Follow CR70 over HWY 49 and on to CR71 for 1.2 miles
Turn left (northeast) on CR72 for 3.6 miles
Turn right at the Ozark Trail - Middlefork Section junction for 2.5 miles
Finish at the Hwy DD trailhead at the start of the Ozark Trail - Middlefork Section to complete the loop:
