Need to Know

The trail is bounded by private property so stay on the trail and between the fences.

Description

Starting from NM4 between Monte Rey Drives N and S, this trail is fairly smooth and flat until about two-thirds of the way through. Ignore all sharp right turns and you'll eventually come to a Y intersection in an open field.

Take the left option and you'll drop down a slightly steeper section of trail (still quite moderate) that requires you to ride over several corrugated metal drainage pipes that cross the trail at regular intervals. The pipes are like steps in that the dirt comes relatively smoothly to the uphill side, and then there's a drop on the opposite side. The drops are only about a foot at most, but it adds some level of interest to the ride.

The trails ends on Monte Rey Dr N and can easily be linked to several other trail segments along Monte Rey or nearby Rio Bravo Dr to make a longer ride.
