Overview
This route is a local favorite. It starts in the neighborhood and returns you in a loop.
Running this clockwise is more uphill on roads and downhill through the banked-turn, twisty sections. Counter clockwise is a better workout with a couple punishing hills.
The fall colors are spectacular in September and the green vegetation is beautiful in the summer. Year-round you'll enjoy a breathtaking view of Mt Ben Lomond.
Need to Know
No facilities.
Description
Half road, half singletrack loop. If you want to shuttle with vehicles, an all-singletrack ride could be had all on the
Ben Lomond Trail.
The MTB section of this ride is well cared for and brilliantly thought out and created. The ride will take you on the upper bench of North Ogden and beneath the beautiful slopes of Mount Ben Lomond. You would definitely want to do this ride for the view but make no mistake, it's no Sunday picnic on the trail. You'll get your cardio.
It's not highly trafficked but you'll see others during peak hours.
History & Background
The upper bench of this loop is named for the ancient Lake Bonneville shoreline.
