Description

This ride starts from the Baker Creek Preserve parking lot and heads west on the UW Gateway / Baker Creek Connector. After crossing under Sevierville Pike at the Urban Wilderness Gateway Park, stay to the left side of the parkway and cross over the highway exit and take a right on Davenport Rd. Take a left on E Moody Avenue then take the very next right on Baker Avenue.

At Cecil Webb Park, take the left fork which goes to the parking area and continue on the path that lies between the basketball courts and the recreation center. Climb a small hill and get on the paved path that runs behind Dogwood Elementary School. Turn where there is a small opening of the fence on the right with a xylophone at the end of Lippencott Downhill.

At the first intersection on Lippencott Downhill, take a right and cross over the small wooden bridge (be careful on this bridge when wet, it is ridiculously slippery) and continue climbing for about 0.3 miles. At the intersection with the end of Lippencott Loop, stay right and continue on to the intersection of the start of Lippencott Loop and the Henley Apartment Connector. Take the middle option and continue counter clockwise on Lippencott Loop for a full loop.

Once you return to the intersection of the start of Lippencott Loop and Henley Apartment Connector, this time take a left and continue on Henley Apartment Connector until the end where you come out in the parking lot of the Henley Apartments. Take a right at the clubhouse with the pool and descend Highwood Ct. until it ends at an intersection with Highwood Dr. Take a left on Highwood Dr. then when you get to the bottom of the hill take a quick right then left on E Martin Mill Pike SW.

Once you get to Chapman Highway, stay left and get on the sidewalk and use the crosswalk at Woodlawn Pike to cross Chapman Highway into Fort Dickerson Park. Climb up Fort Dickerson Rd. SW until you get to Breastworks Access on the left which starts about 500 feet from the very top of the mountain. Take Breastworks Access to the end, then take a sharp right on Breastworks. Enjoy the flowing downhill of Breastworks then when you reach the end of the trail, take a right on Trial & Error and continue your descent.

Trial & Error ends at an intersection with Booger near the north entrance to the park. Take a left on Booger and ride the entirety of the trail and then take a left on Quarry Lake Greenway. At the end of Quarry Lake Greenway next to the parking area, take a left on Pit Viper and climb back up to Fort Dickerson Rd SW. Make sure to stop at the top of Pit Viper and check out the scenic overlook of the quarry, there are some spectacular views especially at sunset.

Take a right on Fort Dickerson Rd. SW and continue straight through the traffic light on Woodlawn Pike at the intersection with Chapman Highway. Continue on Wooodlawn Pike to the intersection with Sevierville Pike and take a left at the light. Continue on Seiverville Pike in the cycle lane until you get to the intersection with a four way stop sign at Sevier Ave. and Lancaster Dr. Take a short pit stop here at SoKno Taco for tacos and beer before concluding the ride down Lancaster Dr. at the Baker Creek Preserve parking lot where the ride started.
