This is the western half of the Manawa trail system in the Lake Manawa Recreation area. The trail starts in the northwest section of the parking lot. This section was less affected and recovered more from the 2011 Missouri River flooding.

The trail meanders gently through a wooded area bordering the north bank of the river. You'll find very little in the way of technical features. However, the trail can be fast and flowy at speed, and tranquil and relaxing at a slow cruise.
