Start at the first parking area on Stines Creek Road and head north above Almo Creek. Continue past Almo Creek Wetlands on your right and bee-line it for Shark's Fin rock.

Next, skirt Fence Line Rock and keep heading north to the Edwards Home Site just above Almo Creek. Now the trail veers to the west as it skirts the Castle Rocks and continues to climb to the summit. At the summit, you may opt for the Castle Rocks Trail - Outer Loop for bonus views and easier trail.

Now you get to drop back down while winding through various rock features ending up in Stines Creek. Make a right turn at Ranch Loop Trail junction and a left at the Castle Rock Loop Trail junction. Stay right of the pictographs but for sure stop and walk around them.

Head east veering south to join Stines Creek Road for the last leg back to the parking area.
