Starts at El Escorpion Trail and then join the Cheeseboro Loop. There are different trails to take when returning on East Last Virgenes Canyon Trail, and this route takes the England Trail and El Escorpion Loop to get some more climbing and singletrack.

El Escorpion Park is popular for hiking due to the caves and parking is along a neighborhood street, so there may be limited space.

Park at El Escorpion Park and follow the trail to East Last Virgenes Canyon Trail. After a few miles of downhill on the fire road, you'll zig-zag through the middle of the Cheeseboro Loop, then follow the Palo Comado Canyon Trail until you hit Sheep Corral Trail.

At the end of Sheep Corral, take Upper Las Virgenes back to East Last Virgenes and retrace your path back to El Escorpion Park. There are many alternate trails that can be taken while getting back to the parking, and this route takes England Trail to El Escorpion Loop to get some more singletrack in.
