Description

This is a mile-long section of the much longer Perimeter Trail. As with the rest of the Perimeter Trail, it runs along the rim of the plateau, and is punctuated by short descents and climbs.

This section is one of the more technically challenging portions with a few sections that have large rocks/slabs, and some small ledges and drops. Much of this part of the trail runs along a steep bluff, and riders should be cautious of the falling hazard. There are a few sections that will be hike-a-bike unless you are a very, very skilled rider.

Overall, this will be a fun ride if you're looking to ride some techy, challenging descents and climbs. If you're looking for mellower, faster riding, probably better to avoid this section of the trail and access the PT via the connector at the end of Girault Jones drive.
