Description

This is the fastest unpaved route north to connect with The Rattlesnake (Childs Mountain) approach road. Many other offshoots and connections from this trail also, but this is the only one easily rideable all the way on narrow (i.e., gravel) tires - at least until the northern terminus.

The last ~30m or so is fairly loose sand but is rideable on narrow tires until the driest months of the year (even then can be ridden with some speed into that section and some skill/luck).

This is a slight downhill north and hardpacked so it doesn't take much push to go fast. Just remember if you return on the same trail it will feel like you're dragging some extra weight to the south!
