Description

This trail winds around the southern base of the Batamote Mountains, skirting upper Tenmile Wash. Much of this is sandy hardpack, with occasional rocky and sandy sections - except for the eastern half of the loop. That section contains more rocky sections, including some sections with rather large babyheads that are interspersed enough that they are generally avoidable on this doubletrack. There are few trails northeast of Ajo that have the beautiful views of this trail.
